Sometimes its hard to tell if your dog may be suffering from muskuloskeletal pain, sometimes the symptoms are hard to spot, so here is a check-list of symptoms for you to take a look at.

Communicating Back Pain

Dogs will communicate back pain in the following ways:

  • Struggling to maintain the "sit, stay" command.
  • Grunting, yelping or moaning when getting up or laying down.
  • Biting at tail or paws.
  • Becoming slower and less active on walks.
  • A sudden change in behaviour.
  • Growling or yelping when being touched.
  • Stiffness when moving.

Like horse's every dog is very much their own person and no two dog's will respond in the same way, but as man's best friend they deserve the very best of care so if in doubt book in for a consultation.
